AI and the Future: Humanity's New Coexistence in 20 Years

Looking at the progress of AI in recent years, I can't help but feel that the world will be very different in 20 years. The seeds of world-changing technology are visible here and there. However, it always takes longer than expected for it to become mature and ordinary people can use it.

It was like the Internet in 1995. It was clear that the world was going to change, but it took the widespread use of smartphones after 2010 for ordinary people, not just early adopters, to use it in their daily lives.

However, once AI is integrated as an essential part of society, the history of mankind will change irreversibly. Just as the emergence of the steam engine once rewrote the history of mankind forever. Perhaps the lifestyles that we take for granted now will also change.

By that time, I will be an old man, so I don't know if I will be able to fully adapt to the new society. However, children born in the future will accept this kind of AI as something very natural, alongside old traditional technologies, and live with it as a given. That's how society changes. It has always been that way in the history of humanity over the past few hundred years. That's fine.

We will all become the "bosses" of AI. Our economic power will be determined by our ability to use AI. This coexistence of humanity and AI will continue for at least the next few decades. However, to be honest, I'm not sure if humanity will continue to be the "boss" and AI the "subordinate" forever. In the not-too-distant future, serious discussions may begin to take place on who will inherit this civilization that humanity started. However, by that time, I will have passed away and will not be able to see the conclusion.
